The Great Banquet… How you can help….

Filed under: Uncategorized — thegreatbanquet @ 5:01 pm

Dear Ministry Partners,

I know we are all looking forward with great anticipation to the Living Proof Live 2010 weekend at Rupp Arena with Beth Moore, August 13-14. We are calling it The Great Banquet (based on Luke 14) as women from all walks of life will have an opportunity to come and feast on God’s Word. Even now the Holy Spirit is wooing and drawing those He has sovereignly ordained to be there. Lives will be deeply touched and forever changed…All for HIS glory! God created each of us for one purpose—to love and serve Him. You have shown your faithfulness to serve Him by becoming a Ministry Partner.

Your heart of love and obedience is precious to your Father. In preparation for the LPL weekend, there is much to do and all of us together will get the job done as the Holy Spirit enables us. What can you do to help? Pray, and again I say, “PRAY!” Next, get the word out to prepare the way for God to do a mighty work. Place the attached documents into the hands of everyone you know. Talk to your church, your Sunday school class, Bible studies, Christian friends, business owners (many within your own congregation) and women the Lord leads you to that may need a scholarship in order to attend. We have already begun raising scholarship funds but we need our Ministry Partners’ help to meet our goal of providing 1,500 scholarships. Remember that no donation is too small. Let’s keep our eyes steadfastly on our God and the opportunity and privilege we have to serve Him as we move through these next months of preparation.

Heaven and I thank you in advance for all your help and for being the special sister in the Lord that you are! If you have any questions or need fund raising suggestions, please feel free to contact me.

Prayer for the Beth Moore Event

Filed under: Uncategorized — thegreatbanquet @ 4:43 pm

Greetings dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

I would like to send a note of encouragement to everyone who is already a “brick” in the Wall of Prayer and to those who are not signed up but are praying for this event.

God is moving in Central Kentucky and beyond and I believe He is using this time as preparation for something great in 2010.  God is restoring the bride and I have seen the Nehemiah’s of today inspecting the walls of our cities.  There are still walls that need to be torn down but they also need to be rebuilt.  I really believe God is going to move in a mighty way and the unity that is being built, the denomination lines that are being erased are happening but there is still a lot that needs to be done.

Prayer will change the face of our cities.  Prayer will prepare the bride of Christ for His return and strengthen the city walls.  Let us position ourselves to hear from God and stand on the ramparts, the walls, to look and see what He will say to us (Habakkuk 2:1).

Beth Moore has touched so many of our lives and I know for me personally she has been a mentor that has gotten me through some painful times over the years.  She has also helped me grow as a follower of Christ.  She has allowed God to use her as His obedient vessel, willing to pour herself out so that we may be filled up.  Stand in prayer for those who have never experienced a touch of God but who so desperately need it.  Pray Rupp Arena is filled with the broken and when they hear the word that God has given Beth Moore they are changed forever.

Please pray for the people in your lives, your city, the lost, the poor, the broken and vulnerable.  I know God wants us to come boldly before His throne on behalf of those around us who are still blinded by sin and are suffering from the wounds and devastation of poor choices.  The Lord God wants to restore our land, heal our bodies, mend the broken hearted and restore the crushed in spirit.  He wants those He created to know their Creator and be in a love relationship like they’ve never experienced.

If you are not a “brick” on the Wall of Prayer, please seek the Lord and ask Him if He wants you to commit to praying 30 minutes or 1 hour each week.  If you feel led to be a “brick” please email me.  Let others know as well and invite them to be a part of the wall.  We would love to see you at the monthly prayer gatherings and join the bride as we seek God and cry out for a touch of His of glory.

In Christ,

Kendra Osborn
